In February 2026 we were fortunate enough to film a live session at the famed Mitla Cafe in San Bernardino for our @nprmusic #tinydeskcontest submission. This was a dream come true for me, my grandfather was born across the street in his childhood home long since demolished. The original Swing Auditorium stood down the street before the plane crash and it was never rebuilt. The Mitla has been a staple in the community for many families and years. Thank you Michael, Steven, Dave and all the staff who allowed us in on their day off. Thank you James Love, Quin Aldin and Kobe Darby for playing alongside me.
